Hello, this is Frank.<\/p>\n

The keyword we’re spotlighting today\u2014\u201cMetropolitan Police Department\u2019s First Investigation Division\u201d<\/font><\/strong>\u2014is also the title of a new drama series aired by TV Asahi in Japan.<\/p>\n

For context, this elite division is part of the Criminal Investigation Bureau, responsible for major crimes such as homicide, armed robbery, assault, kidnapping, hostage situations, arson, and sexual offenses<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This same division inspired a key character in my social mystery novel The Scarlet Secret<\/em>. While not strictly a detective novel, the story unfolds within a mid-sized Japanese trading company. Still, I remember diving deep into police organizational structures to bring realism to my fiction\u2014even as an amateur.<\/p>\n
