Problem with my life is, I was always also addicted to chaos. Perfect chaos.&#8221; \u2015Mike Tyson, reflecting on his erratic behavior during his peak, 23 years ago.<\/font><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Now, have you ever come across the word <strong>\u201cimpeccable\u201d<\/strong>? It means \u201cfaultless\u201d or \u201cperfect.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But if you remove the prefix \u201cim-\u201d, you\u2019re left with <strong>\u201cpeccable\u201d<\/strong>\u2014a rarely used word meaning \u201cprone to sin\u201d or \u201ccapable of doing wrong.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The more one strives for perfection, the more intense the chaos can become. Tyson\u2019s erratic behavior may have been a psychological response\u2014a way of restoring balance in his inner world.<\/p>\n<p>As for someone like me\u2014just a regular person\u2014I can&#8217;t even tell when chaos visited my life. But I do know one thing: the further the pendulum swings toward perfection, the harder it swings back.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPerfection\u201d and \u201cchaos.\u201d The pursuit of flawlessness often comes at the cost of emotional stability.
