Hello, this is Frank.

In this world, there are many people who shine briefly and deliver outstanding results for a moment. But those who can maintain high performance consistently over time? They’re rare.

True competence is found in those who deliver sustained excellence—not just flashes of brilliance. These are the people who possess real competency.

In other words, if you’re celebrating a one-time success and riding the high, that’s not enough. Competent individuals never stop aiming higher. They carry ambitious goals with them—always.

In English, we say it best: “Aim high!”

They tell themselves, “Keep my chin up.” They encourage others with “Keep up the good work”—drawing people in and building a team around their energy and focus.

It feels like the keyword here is: “keep up.”

Persistence—sticking with it—is simple in theory, but hard in practice. And maybe that’s exactly why those who persist are the ones who ultimately succeed.

Competency—it’s one of my favorite words.
