Hi there—Frank here.
Still unsure about what kind of job you truly want?
Let me be upfront: You’re not alone, and it’s absolutely okay. You’re just stepping into adulthood, so it’s perfectly normal not to have your dream job fully mapped out yet. Don’t beat yourself up about it.
In my case, I joined an English club back in college. We practiced debates, discussions, and speeches, giving me plenty of exposure to English. When it came time to job hunt, I thought, “I want a role where I can use English and maybe work overseas.”
Boom—I decided to focus on trading companies.
Luckily, I landed a position at one. Since I needed English daily, they placed me in the Latin America department, which naturally required learning Spanish—there was no way around it.
I actually wrote more about this journey in my novel, Nazo no Rouge, a social-issue mystery. If you’re curious, you can check out a preview online: >Here

Back to the main topic:
From my observation, the people who struggle most with job hunting are those who didn’t join any clubs and went straight home after classes. Some get lucky and discover their passions through part-time jobs—but not everyone gets that chance.
So, what should you do?
My advice is simple: Don’t stress about finding your “forever job” right now. That’s too much pressure. Instead, aim for something that seems like a decent fit or that you can commit to for at least a year. Then jump into the interview process.
Even just listening to recruiters or attending orientations might spark inspiration. Honestly, why not explore a variety of job types and see what resonates? Worrying won’t get you anywhere.
One more thing: Don’t think, “If this doesn’t work out, I’ll just move back home and relax.” Nope. Once you graduate, treat it like you’re stepping into real responsibility. Job hunting is serious. You’re an adult now—own it.
So, what do you think? Finding the perfect job can come later. What matters most is taking that first step. I’m cheering for your bold, go-all-in approach to job hunting. You’ve got this!
Wishing you all the best in your search.
