Hello, this is Frank.
This is something often mentioned in online business seminars and YouTube videos, but it’s so important that I want you to take it to heart.
Here’s a key point to keep in mind when sending email newsletters:
――one message – one market – one outcome
The first part, “one message”, means that if you address your audience as a general crowd—using phrases like “for those who are interested” or “some of you may…”—then no matter how great your content is, it won’t truly resonate.
What really matters is writing as if you’re speaking directly to a single person—like a friend or a partner. Imagine just one reader… that’s the golden rule.
The second part, “one market”, means that the content and products you introduce in a single email should focus on one genre or topic.
For example, if you’re sending a newsletter to readers interested in wine, but then you suddenly start promoting health gadgets or forex (FX), it breaks consistency. That kind of approach can damage your brand—and ultimately, your credibility.
The idea that “the more I promote, the more they’ll buy” is a big mistake. Once you’ve built your personal brand, make sure to stay consistent. (Of course, if you’ve earned complete trust and share common values with your audience, there may come a time when they’ll buy almost anything you recommend.)
The final part, “one outcome”, refers to your call-to-action links. If you include too many, readers won’t know what to click or what action to take.
Keep the exit clear and singular. Tell them: “Buy this one thing.” That clarity is essential. Depending on your content, exceptions may apply—but if you’re just starting out with affiliate marketing, always aim for one outcome.
These are beginner-level copywriting principles. But above all else, the most important thing is to deliver content that’s truly helpful to your readers. Don’t forget that.
