Norway during my days as a businessman.
Back then, I was given a mission that could sway the company’s fate, jet-setting across the globe for negotiations. Norway was just another destination for business deals. However, on the flight to Oslo, I was surprised to see passengers getting restless about 30 minutes before landing.
Most of them were Norwegians, I presume. When the plane safely touched down, applause filled the cabin, and to my amazement, the man sitting to my right reached out for a handshake.
As a Globetrotter diving into negotiations around the world, my pride felt dwarfed by their smiles.
Later, after concluding negotiations with clients, I headed to the post office to send financial reports to Japan headquarters. The postal clerk greeted me not with a typical sales smile but with a genuine, lovely smile that touched my heart.
