Hello, this is Frank.
During my time as a trading company employee and consultant, I frequently traveled around the world.
From Africa and Europe to North and South America, and even Oceania—long-haul flights were a regular part of my life. Sitting for extended periods often caused lower back pain, as many of you may have experienced.
One serious concern during long flights is DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis), commonly known as “economy class syndrome.”
That’s why I highly recommend the in-flight exercises mentioned in the title. This particular set is provided by JAL (Japan Airlines), and it feels charmingly similar to Japan’s traditional “Radio Taiso” stretching exercises.

The key point is this: don’t be embarrassed to move your body during the flight. It’s far better than ending up in the hospital after landing.
In fact, during a consulting trip to San Francisco, I once suffered from deep vein thrombosis and collapsed. It was a wake-up call for me.
So, on long-haul flights, don’t try to do all the exercises at once. Instead, aim to move your body every 30 to 60 minutes throughout the flight.
Wishing you a comfortable and healthy journey!
