Hello, this is Frank.

During lunch, I happened to check my audio clips and came across a message:

――Memories of Cape Town, South Africa.

This is a voice message where I talk about Table Mountain, located in Cape Town, South Africa, where I was stationed.

As I listened, vivid images of the awe-inspiring scenery from that time came rushing back to me. At the same time, I found myself fondly remembering a middle-aged man I met at a kart racing track about 12 years ago.

From the very first time we met, we bonded over stories of overseas travel. I still remember telling him, “South Africa is a wonderful place.”

Some time later, he actually set foot in Africa. I don’t know if I inspired him, but I was amazed by how quickly he took action.

Sadly, he passed away in an unfortunate accident… He had such a wonderful smile.

My voice message is filled with memories from my days working for a trading company. Every time I listen to it, his smiling face comes to mind.
