Hello, this is Frank, your would-be A-list blogger.
Before you jump to conclusions and label me a “fraud” just from today’s title, let me clarify. These days, things go viral in the blink of an eye, and rumors can spiral out of control.
There are many ways to translate “Petenshi” into English, but one common term is “faker.” The word “faker” comes from the verb “fake,” which means “to pretend” or “to deceive.”
There’s a famous saying that uses this word. Many of you may already know it, but I’ve chosen it as today’s quote:
――Fake it till you make it.
In other words, “Keep pretending until it becomes real.”
You might feel that you’re still far from being the person or acting the way you aspire to, but by consistently adopting those attitudes, behaviors, and habits, you can bring your ideal self closer to reality.
That’s why I introduced myself as a “would-be A-list blogger” in my greeting-it’s a bit of self-conditioning.
But here’s the key: simply copying others isn’t enough. You need to consciously work on transforming yourself if you want to make your goals a reality. Utopia won’t come to you just by waiting.
――Fake it till you make it.
Keep pretending until it becomes real.
Why not give it a try?
