More’s the pity; we hear a plethora of insults against people under dispute worldwide, and exchanges of acrimony and invective badly hurt bilateral, trilateral, or multilateral international ties.
No exceptions are in the corporate world. As a skirmish develops into a battle, the battle into war, a brief squabble with seniors may tread a similar path even in the company.
――How come you won’t work overtime today?
――I have a previous engagement.
――Are you invaded not by a Coronavirus but by a silo mentality!?
The above exchange is nothing compared to what’s happening, but a minor dispute had led to a mano-a-mano fight by grabbing coworkers’ collars even in my trading company.
If the outgoing words are beautiful, then the incoming words will be beautiful, too. To get the day off to a good start, let’s opt not for slurs but for words with soothing relief.
Hopefully, people exchange beautiful words to have peaceful mindsets in the world.
Today, I have chosen the word \(\omega\) that sounds so beautiful. Let me find the value of a formula, including the omega.
Find the value of \(\omega^{7} + \omega^{5} – 1\).
Given \(\omega^{3} = 1\), and \(\omega^{2} + \omega + 1 = 0\), let’s restructure of the problem formula.
\(\omega^{7} + \omega^{5} – 1\)
\(= (\omega^{3})^{2}\omega + \omega^{3}\omega^{2} – 1\)
\(= \omega + \omega^{2} – 1\)
Since \(\omega^{2} + \omega = -1\), the formula becomes
\(= \omega^{2} + \omega – 1\)
\(= -1 – 1\)
\(= -2\)
The answer is \(-2\).
