You can be demoted or relegated to a rural sales branch even though you’ve made a “good” sales turnover; in other words, “good” isn’t always good in the dog-eat-dog corporate world.
One of my seniors working in the Latin American Section in my trading company was transferred to Procurement Department immediately after returning from his overseas business trip. His poor business performance swept him out of his previous position as a sales representative. Truth be told, his desk and the chair were left over in the product packaging room.

Who’s gonna descend next? Don’t worry. Today, let’s put a quadratic function in descending order of powers.
Put the quadratic function \(2xy – x^{2} + 2y^{2} – 5x + y – 5\) in descending order of powers for \(x\).
Here is my solution to the problem.
All we have to do is organize the function by degree.
\(2xy – x^{2} + 2y^{2} – 5x + y – 5\)
\(= -x^{2} + (2y – 5)x + (2y^{2} + y – 5)\)
So simple, isn’t it?
Again truth be told, I am the last person to demote someone into a rural branch office.
