Hi, there!

It is catching on among Japanese university students to join a club
just to scratch the surface of athletic or humanities activities; such
a club is called a “circle.”

Are they herbivorous-type boys? Ostensibly, they are not severe to
build up skills that will stand them in good stead for a long time to
come like bygone uni students. If they really want to upgrade their
skills, why not take a stab at serious learning in a draconian way in
a club where I used to practice English debating at my university. I
wanted to have hands-on debating experience, as seen in oral pro-
ceedings in court, so I joined the debate club.

Whichever shape “circle” or “club” is taking, it is convincing that the
recent youngsters are not happy with any regulations imposed or
mountings from their seniors and would instead put more impor-
tance on arbitrary activities.

Many new recruits are inclined to quit their job in a huff when their
bosses call them a slacker, but I want to tell them that they will be
easily mentally broke or become too vulnerable to overcome an up-
hill battle in the corporate world in due course.

They will come up to the time to “circle” yes or no as to whether they
go for gain first or pain first. It’s their choice, not mine.

Today I am happy with myself who can circle yes to challenge a cir-
cle equation word problem without hesitation.

Write down the equation of a circle with radius 7 and center (-3, 6).

Here is my solution to the problem.

Given the two points \((x_{1}, y_{1})\) and \((x_{2}, y_{2})\) the distance between
them is given by,

\(d = \sqrt{(x_{2} – x_{1})^2 + (y_{2} – y_{1})^2}\)

By using the distance formula on these two points, I would get,
\(r = \sqrt{(x – A)^2 + (y – B)^2}\)

I have \(r = 7\), \(A = -3\) and \(B = 6\) so all I need to do is plug them
into the standard from of the equation of the circle.

\((x – (-3))^2 + (y – 6)^2 = 7^2\)
\((x + 3)^2 + (y – 6)^2 = 49\)

That said, I don’t want to be an old nuisance, so I will attempt to hit
it off with recent youngsters.

――Allow me to enter your circle, you guys?

Stay tuned, and expect to see my next post.

Keep well.
